FOR SILICA FILTER SAND AND GRAVEL
Sealed proposals(bids) for purchase of Silica Filter Sand and Gravel will be received by the Board of Directors of The Mahoning Valley Sanitary District at the office of its Chief Engineer located at the Administration Building, 1181 Ohltown-McDonald Road, Weathersfield Township, Trumbull County, Ohio, until 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, on Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Proposals may be presented in person or mailed. Mail should be addressed to The Mahoning Valley Sanitary District, PO Box 4119, Youngstown, OH 44515-0119 or 1181 Ohltown-McDonald Road, Mineral Ridge, OH 44440

The Proposal shall include delivery to the facilities of The Mahoning Valley Sanitary District as described above.
The Board of Directors reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities in any proposal, and to award the contract as the best interest of The Mahoning Valley Sanitary District may require.

Bids will be accepted by The Mahoning Valley Sanitary District for the purchase of the following chemicals used for water supply operations.
Pebble Quick Lime
Liquid Chlorine
Liquid Sodium Aluminate
Hydrofluosilicic Acid
Anhydrous Ammonia
Powdered Activated Carbon
Copper Sulfate
Potassium Permanganate
Soda Ash
Carbon Dioxide

Bids will be received by The Mahoning Valley Sanitary District until 1:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, on Tuesday March 2, 2010.
All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the bid as prescribed by the specifications. The bidder shall show that the surety is licensed to do business in the State of Ohio.
The Mahoning Valley Sanitary District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities in any proposal, and to award the contract as the best interests of the District may require.
